MarquipWardUnited needed a solution to a problem; their lathe they’d been using for years to manufacture parts for their machinery was old and no longer functioning optimally. They needed something heavy duty and big- really big- to replace it with. They also needed a lathe that could be customized to their specific needs.

Summit provided a 47-9×240 Heavy Duty Engine lathe, with a custom designed extended center and a heavy duty tailstock. The machine is designed with a solid, full to the floor cast bed, built to withstand the toughest conditions while maintaining the required precision and accuracy.
