Atlas Copco VSD Compressor Expert Leads Webinar on Proper Sizing & Energy Monitoring
Steve Bruno, an expert on variable speed drive (VSD) and oil-free compressors for Atlas Copco, is a speaker during this month’s Expert Webinar Series hosted by Compressed Air Best Practices on Thursday, March 30.
Bruno’s presentation, titled “Proper Sizing of VSD Compressors,” will share techniques and knowledge on how to correctly size a VSD air compressor to an end use with fluctuating demand, as well as tips on how to effectively monitor energy use. He will also discuss the importance of a wide turndown range, the importance of a flat specific power curve and misconceptions about VSD compressors.
Tim Dugan, president and principal engineer of Compression Engineering Corporation, will give the keynote lecture. Dugan’s presentation will examine the correct application of VSD compressors and take a specific look at manufacturing scenarios with different demand profiles.
