1. Kassow Robots has expanded its product portfolio with the addition of the KR1018, which the startup company describes as “a particularly strong model” that can handle payloads of up to 18 kilogrammes.

2. PAL Robotics has completed testing of its Tiago robots with Accerion positioning sensors in hospitals to fight Covid-19.

3. Pratt Miller has installed its autonomous disinfecting robot – called the Large Area Autonomous Disinfecting Vehicle, or LAAD-V for short – at Detroit Airport.

4. Walmart, the largest grocery retail company in the world, is piloting an on-demand drone delivery service with Flytrex (main picture).

5. Nilfisk, a provider of cleaning products and services, has launched a new robotic floor scrubber, the Liberty SC60, which runs the BrainOS operating system.

6. 6 River Systems has made a series of enhancements to its robotic fulfillment solution, the main one being making it easier to connect operational data and the cloud.

7. Public transportation companies are increasingly replacing large, diesel buses with fleets of electric, self-driving shuttle buses, according a report by IDTechEx.

8. Almost 20 percent of consumers are more interested in self-driving vehicles now than they were before the coronavirus pandemic, according to a survey conducted by Motional, the driverless vehicle development company created by Hyundai and Aptiv.

9. Wilson Logistics has ordered 1,120 autonomous truck systems from Locomation. The companies claim this is “the world’s first autonomous truck purchase order”.

10. OnRobot has launched its OnRobot Sander end-effector, an all-electric random orbital sander for automated finishing applications, including sanding and polishing.
