Explore 4,600+ Cutting Tools from M.A. Ford, Dapra, and RedLine on MachiningCloud
Products from three additional tool companies—M.A. Ford, Dapra, and RedLine Tools—are now available on MachiningCloud.
More than 4,600 cutting tools items from M.A. Ford (Davenport, IA) are listed on MachiningCloud (Camarillo, CA), with more to come. M.A. Ford manufactures standard, high performance and custom cutting tools with worldwide manufacturing and distribution facilities. MachiningCloud is a product data provider for cutting tools, CNC machines and workholding.
MachiningCloud simplifies the process of finding the right cutting tools for customers’ manufacturing jobs, as they will have direct access to current and complete tooling data without searching through printed catalogs and multiple websites to find ideal tooling. Customers can download descriptive, usage and geometric information directly into their shop floor software, such as CAM, simulation, and tool management systems.
Dapra Corp. (Bloomfield, CT) has 1600 indexable tools for milling available on MachiningCloud. CAD data on most items is also accessible to Dapra customers. Dapra is a manufacturer of high-performance indexable carbide milling tools, workholding, and positioning equipment.
“The ability to feed Dapra’s product data directly into customers’ shop software offers tremendous time-saving benefits over paper catalogs and websites. MachiningCloud eliminates the need to manually type information into the end user’s software,” said Jessy Prevost, product manager for MachiningCloud.
Michael Bitner, vice president of sales and product management for Dapra, said, “The partnership with MachiningCloud is an effort towards the increased effectiveness of programming/processing methods through digital integration of Dapra cutting tool CAD data, along with other important application information, into the available tooling library.”
The RedLine Tools/MachiningCloud partnership is now active. RedLine Tools, a brand of distributor Productivity Inc. (Minneapolis), manufactures high quality, specialty cutting tools, toolholders, and metalworking lubricants and has more than 22,000 products in its inventory.
“We are excited about MachiningCloud’s unique concept of providing cloud-based data rich content,” said Dan Podgorsek, product manager for RedLine Tools. “Our customers will have the ability to select cutting tools, build tool assemblies, access speed and feed data, and download information to CAM systems. MachiningCloud will increase our customers’ efficiencies and allow them to be more competitive.”
