Joseph J. Houldin, Founding Leader of DVIRC, Steps Down After 28 Years of Industrial Innovation

Joseph J. Houldin, DVIRC’s Founder & Director of National Manufacturing Initiatives, retired on March 31, 2020. Houldin served as DVIRC’s CEO for 28 years and was instrumental in helping to shape both the Pennsylvania Industrial Resource Network and the national MEP system. He is highly respected for his keen insight, strategic vision and economic development expertise.

Under Joe’s leadership, DVIRC grew to be recognized as one of the most innovative and highly regarded MEP Centers in the national system. A tireless advocate for both manufacturing and the MEP mission, Houldin’s knowledge and wisdom earned him the respect of his peers and of countless others who were fortunate enough to work with him. We are extremely grateful for his years of service.
