Beamex Launches the ePG: A Portable, Battery‑Powered Pressure Generator for Field Calibration

Beamex, a trusted leader in pressure‑calibration solutions for over four decades, has launched the Beamex ePG, a cutting‑edge electrical pressure pump designed for industrial calibration tasks.

The ePG is a rugged, battery‑operated unit that generates pressure from near vacuum up to 20 bar (300 psi) with a single, field‑replaceable battery pack. Its design allows technicians to perform a high volume of calibrations on one charge, eliminating the need for heavy, manual hand pumps.

Compatible with any existing pressure calibrator, the ePG replaces a manual hand pump without requiring new equipment. Its intuitive coarse‑and‑fine adjustment buttons enable quick, accurate pressure set‑points, while the device can be serviced by the user to keep maintenance simple.

When paired with the Beamex MC6 family, the ePG supports fully automatic calibration. The MC6 will control the ePG via firmware, a feature slated for release in an upcoming update.

“Calibrations in the process industry are often performed in the field, and a manual hand pump is laborious, especially for multiple or high‑pressure tests,” says Antti Mäkynen, Product Manager at Beamex. “Customer demand for a more efficient solution led us to develop the ePG.”
