Fanuc Robotics America: 30+ Years of Leading Innovation in Industrial Automation

There are a lot of robotics companies in the world – Motoman, KUKA, ABB, Universal Robots, etc. – and one of the leaders of the robotics industry is Fanuc Robotics America, one of many subsidiaries of the main Fanuc Corporation in Japan.

Fanuc Robotics America is a supplier of robots to North and South America. The company was formed in 1982 when Fanuc Corporation partnered with General Motors in the United States to form GMFanuc Robotics. Ten years later, GM sold their shares of the company to Fanuc, and GMFanuc became Fanuc Robotics America.

Today, the American Fanuc Robotics is providing two continents with a complete range of industrial robotics, including the M-series, the R-series, the Arc Mate series and the S- series. These robots are able to weld, handle material and remove material.

The robots engineered by Fanuc Robotics America are able to be programmed to perform dozens of different applications for factories in several industries. Industries, including the aerospace, automotive, consumer goods, foundry, glass, food and beverage, electronics and medical industries, use robots built by Fanuc on a daily basis.

And that’s not all! Not only does Fanuc Robotics design innovative industrial robots and supply them to facilities across the Western Hemisphere, but they also allow production studios to use their robots for entertainment purposes. Fanuc Robotics America’s robots have danced on MTV, appeared in The Terminator, and have even worked on the Walt Disney World Test Track.
