iC-Haus Launches iC-HN: 2‑ns Ultra‑Fast Miniature Laser Drivers for Advanced Robotics, LiDAR, and AR/VR
iC‑Haus, a leader in laser diode driver technology, has expanded its portfolio with the launch of the iC‑HN family. Designed for ultra‑fast control, these drivers enable short‑pulse operation down to a mere 2 ns, a critical requirement for high‑speed imaging, LiDAR, and immersive AR/VR systems.
The iC‑HN series boasts a compact 3 mm DFN package and only eight control ports, making it an ideal choice for space‑constrained designs that still demand high performance. Each channel can source up to 2.8 A, with the current set through a precision control voltage that is itself driven by an LVDS interface. The drivers support supply voltages up to 30 V, allowing flexible integration with a range of laser diodes or multiple devices in a single board.
Key application areas include:
- Optical image recognition and object detection
- Robotics – high‑speed, low‑latency laser feedback
- LiDAR – precise ranging with sub‑nanosecond pulses
- Augmented & virtual reality – high‑resolution displays
With the iC‑HN, engineers can achieve unprecedented pulse precision while maintaining a highly integrated, space‑saving footprint.
