Adesto’s FT 6050 Smart Transceiver Now Supports LON and BACnet Protocols Natively
Adesto Technologies has unveiled its FT 6050 Smart Transceiver SoC, which now natively supports LON, LON/IP, BACnet/IP and BACnet MS/TP stacks. This breakthrough enables LON and BACnet devices to communicate simultaneously over the highly reliable and widely adopted Free Topology channel.
The FT 6050 simplifies automation and control networks in smart buildings. Its open‑systems architecture lets BACnet workstations, LON network managers and integrator tools field‑configure, provision and monitor controllers as either LON or BACnet devices – or both – providing a flexible solution that combines the strengths of each protocol while leveraging the fault‑tolerant, scalable FT media. For OEMs, the SoC reduces SKU complexity and streamlines integrator workflows for both retrofits and new installations.
As a cornerstone of Adesto’s embedded IoT platform, the FT 6050 supports both LON and BACnet configurations through the company’s SmartServer IoT edge server. This open, extensible platform supports multiple protocols and applications, allowing diverse systems to converge onto a single edge networking and compute solution.
