Cheetah Mobile Deploys Smart Epidemic Control Robots Across China’s Major Hospitals
More than 30 hospitals and public venues in six major Chinese cities have been using Cheetah Mobile’s robots for epidemic prevention and control. (See video below.)
The locations include Wuhan’s Huoshenshan Hospital, the emergency specialty field hospital that was built in 10 days in response to the virus outbreak.
Below are some highlights from the three types of robots that have been deployed so far:
- Overall, Smart GreetBots interact with patients more than 2,000 times a day, 92 percent of which are voice interactions.
- On average, each Smart DeliverBobot completes more than 100 deliveries per day, covering more than 10,000 meters in delivery distance.
- Smart ThermoBots complete 5 contactless temperature reads per second with an accuracy of ±0.3 deg C.
- Each ThermoBot conducts nearly 40,000 temperature checks per day, holding down the fort in high-traffic areas such as subway stations.
Below is a video showing the GreetBot and DeliverBot in action at Peking University Shougang Hospital in Beijing.
