Fanuc's Auto Backward Exit: Safe, Reliable Robot Error Recovery
Fanuc recently published a simulation video that brings attention to a valuable feature of their robots. This feature is called Auto Backward Exit. An exact exit path is recorded so if an error occurs the robot can backward exit without causing damage.
Several Interesting details of the Backward Exit are
- The recording of the exit path is distance based, not time based
- Available even if a program has aborted or experienced loss of power
- On a multi-arm system, the positional data will be recorded for all groups
Precision Automated Technology is prepared to offer this feature and others as required on your projects.
