ATI Introduces Compliant Deburring Blade: Precision Pneumatic Control for Light & Medium Robot Deburring

ATI Industrial Automation has launched the Compliant Deburring Blade (CDB), a pneumatically controlled, articulated tool designed for light‑to‑medium robotic deburring, chamfering, and scraping of plastics, aluminum, brass, and steel.

The blade’s pneumatic actuation allows operators to fine‑tune contact force simply by adjusting air pressure. Its axial and radial compliance ensures a constant, even force even when encountering surface irregularities, delivering repeatable results.

Built with a straightforward mechanical design and devoid of high‑speed moving parts, the CDB is ideal for collaborative robotic environments. The robust collet accepts a wide range of standard blades and media commonly used with hand deburring tools, enabling quick, tool‑free blade changes.
