SPRINT 20 Linear Lathe: Rapid, Automated Turning for High-Precision Parts
The SPRINT 20 linear production lathe combines driven tools and a main-spindle Y axis with an accommodating, functional work area to simultaneously machine with two tools, the manufacturer says. The machine is suitable for turning bars ranging to 20 mm in diameter for automotive, electronic, medical and hydraulic sectors. The traversable spindle functions as an integrated spindle motor with an 80-mm stroke along the Z axis. The tools in linear arrangement on slide 1, combined with the driven tools, enable efficient machining on several axes at once, the company says. Simultaneous operations can be conducted on both the main spindle and the counterspindle, which is also designed as an integrated spindle motor.
