West River Conveyors Earns 2020 SVAM Manufacturer of the Year Award

West River Conveyors & Machinery Company was recently awarded the 2020 Manufacturer of the Year Award by the Southwest Virginia Alliance for Manufacturing (SVAM). In a virtual ceremony held on October 21, 2020, the award was presented to the company via Zoom by Lennie Gail Mitcheum, Executive Director of SVAM. This award recognizes significant industry accomplishments and positive impacts on the community. The award is based on product development, growth, entrepreneurial leadership, innovation, safety, corporate citizenship and industry advocacy. West River Conveyors was selected to receive the prestigious award by a group of SVAM evaluators.

The Southwest Virginia Alliance For Manufacturing (SVAM) is a non-profit organization focused on supporting and strengthening manufacturers currently in the region as well as welcoming new industry. SVAM’s vision is to unite Southwest Virginia manufacturers to strengthen the region’s position as a world-leading region of advanced manufacturing opportunities.
