At its core, the Ruuvi Node integrates a Nordic nRF9160 System‑in‑Package, offering LTE‑M and NB‑IoT cellular support alongside built‑in GPS, and the ultra‑low‑power nRF52840 SoC, which brings Bluetooth 5, Thread, and Zigbee to the device. The result is a versatile node that can serve as a standalone asset tracker, a robust environmental sensor, or a cellular gateway for RuuviTag Bluetooth beacons.

Designed for long‑term deployment, the node is maintenance‑free and features an embedded solar panel that harvests energy to keep batteries charged—meaning many installations will never need battery replacement. A 45Wh lithium‑ion battery, expansion ports, and an optional external power jack provide flexibility for high‑duty applications.
