ACCES I/O Introduces 104e‑mPCIe Carrier Modules for Flexible, Low‑Cost PCIe/104 Expansion

ACCES I/O Products proudly launches the 104e‑mPCIe family, a range of PCIe/104 carrier modules that let you seamlessly integrate PCI Express Mini Cards (mPCIe) into both new and legacy embedded systems. These boards offer a cost‑effective, highly adaptable alternative to traditional PCIe/104 I/O solutions while retaining the rugged form factor demanded by industrial and military environments.

The 104e‑mPCIe modules come in Type 1 and Type 2 configurations. They support up to four mPCIe cards per board, each in either half‑ or full‑length format. The Advanced model diverts a single PCIe x1 lane into four mPCIe sockets, whereas the standard version transforms four PCIe x1 lanes into four sockets. Type 2 boards additionally accommodate two mSATA devices through dip‑switch selection. Every socket can host USB, SMBus, or wireless mPCIe devices—including per‑socket micro‑SIM slots for cellular (WAN) connectivity.

Engineers can tap into ACCES’s full industrial/military mPCIe line, which includes isolated DAQ, serial, analog, digital I/O (TTL, LVTTL, relay, FET), USB, Ethernet, and quadrature cards. The modularity allows four distinct mPCIe cards on a single board without compromising size or ruggedness.

Optional accessories cover a wide array of PCI Express Mini Cards and mounting hardware. Customization options such as conformal coating, custom configurations (MCOTS), software, and product labeling are available to meet specific application needs.

The 104e‑mPCIe solution requires no driver installation for the carrier board itself. Software support is driven entirely by the selected mPCIe cards. Every ACCES mPCIe card ships with comprehensive Windows and Linux packages—including drivers, sample code in C#, VC++, and Delphi, as well as utility programs. The API integrates with virtually any Windows application, from spreadsheets to LabVIEW and MATLAB, and comes with full source code and register‑level documentation to ensure compatibility with new or unique environments. Embedded OS support extends to DOS, XPe, WES7, WES8, IoT, VxWorks, and more.
