Google’s Nest IoT smart home devices will be sold by ADT as part of the deal.

In August, Google announced that they had invested $450 million in ADT. The security firm will use these funds to increase the adoption of IoT devices. While security issues associated with IoT often appear in headlines, secure devices that rely on IoT can significantly increase building safety.

A Mutually-Beneficial Partnership

Empowering Homeowners with IoT-supported Security Tools

The home security devices include cameras, thermostats, and displays. Google said that its Nest product:

ADT will sell and install Google’s Nest smart home devices to homeowners and small business owners starting later this year. Both companies look forward to defining the future of smart home security through a productive, long-term relationship.
