Divide By Zero: Pioneering 3D Printing Innovation

Most tech success stories begin in a garage, but ours started at a dining table.

Founding Vision

In 2013—a year when Apple unveiled two iPhones, Twitter went public, Edward Snowden broke cover, and Bitcoin gained mainstream attention—our founders Riju, Neeti, and I were already deep into a project close to our hearts. While brainstorming, I had already built my first 3D printer at home. It was April, and the dining table became a launchpad for our future.

When a friend suggested the name Divide by Zero, we loved its ring and the notion of infinite possibilities it evoked for 3D‑printing solutions. We secured the name, and with the help of Hemant Suthar, founder of Fractal Ink design studio, we created a logo that still represents us today.

First Public Showcase

We debuted our first machine at Plastivision in November 2013. The event drew significant attention, and we realized the true potential of 3D printing—turning dreams into tangible products. However, early adopters demanded custom specifications, prompting us to refine our design processes.

Accucraft i250 – Our Export Milestone

By 2014, we launched the Accucraft i250, our first 3D printer to be exported. A few units shipped to Dubai, earning us commendable press coverage and confirming our global ambitions.

Scaling Up: The Aion Series

Driven by the desire to build larger‑format printers, we introduced the Aion500 in 2015. Its success led to the upgraded Aion500mk2, which won the India Design Mark award—recognition for excellence in design by the India Design Council, Government of India.

In 2016, we became the first Indian company to file patents for 3D‑printing technology under the AFPM. By 2017, Divide by Zero achieved an impressive 80% year‑on‑year growth. That year also saw us earning the WASME Excellence Award and the IPF Product Excellence Award.

Going Global

2020 marked our expansion beyond India, establishing a footprint in the United States, Malaysia, UAE, and Europe. Our vision is clear: to become the most loved tech company that empowers through sustainable growth and value creation for all. We aim to accelerate global innovation by delivering advanced manufacturing solutions that exceed customer expectations.
