Markforged Expands: New Office Space and Executive Leadership Appointments

Markforged is thrilled to announce two major milestones: the opening of a second, expansive office and the addition of two seasoned executives to our leadership team.

Founder and CEO Greg Mark shares, “With Bryan Semple and Brian Nadeau on board, we’ve completed our core management functions, positioning us to accelerate global expansion and seize a massive opportunity in the $12 trillion manufacturing market.”

Bryan Semple joins as Chief Marketing Officer. His prior role as CMO at Smartbear, coupled with a proven track record in scaling hyper‑growth companies, brings deep expertise to Markforged’s go‑to‑market strategy. Semple notes, “Markforged uniquely combines a top‑tier technical team with immense market potential. We were early to market with a desktop‑sized 3D metal printer, and we are the sole company capable of printing continuous carbon fiber for high‑strength parts.”

Brian Nadeau, vice‑president of engineering, brings 20 years of engineering leadership from Simplivity and EqualLogic (acquired by Dell in 2007). An early investor in Markforged, he says, “I’m proud of our strides in metal and continuous carbon fiber printing. Joining the management team at this pivotal growth phase excites me.”

Our new facility in Watertown, housed in the historic Riverworks textile mill, now offers over 80,000 ft² and the capacity for 500 employees—far beyond our current needs. The building’s exposed brick and soaring ceilings reflect our commitment to marrying industrial heritage with cutting‑edge manufacturing.

Director of Demand Generation, Sunniya Saleem, highlights the blend of indoor and outdoor spaces: “Having the riverfront patio and ample natural light fuels creativity and collaboration.” She also appreciates amenities such as showers, a coffee hub, a large auditorium for all‑hands meetings, and an open‑plan layout that keeps everyone connected.

Commercial Sales Rep Riley Hall echoes this sentiment: “The outdoor space is a refreshing escape that lets me recharge and return to work with renewed focus.”
