ArcTrack: Reliable Robot Track Motion for Rugged Arc Welding
Güdel introduces ArcTrack, a flexible, pre-configured robot track motion module for arc welding applications that can reduce lead time by as much as 40 percent, according to the company.
The pre-engineered TrackMotion Floor (TMF-2) configuration has an auxiliary shelf that can carry welding equipment, large wire spools, and torch cleaning and reaming devices with the robot. The shelf is said to be able to support over 750 kg without compromising performance. The module includes robot-specific gear boxes, motors and cables. It is available for arc welding robots from companies including FANUC, ABB, Motoman and Kuka.
All of the company’s units are designed and engineered for harsh environments, including welding, painting, die casting, foundries, sealing, machining and grinding. A cam follower and cartridge-bearing design is said to enable 15-min. MTTR for bearing replacement. The module is configured with guideway scrapers and a fully enclosed e-chain for a final layer of protection.
All of the company’s robot track motion modules are available in lengths from 3 to 100 m and can be equipped with robot risers from 50 to 600 mm.
