HowToRobot.com, founded in 2020 in Denmark’s robotics hub, debuted in the U.S. this week at the ATX East trade show in New York City. The platform positions itself as a “digital marketplace” that helps manufacturers accelerate automation projects by simplifying supplier discovery and proposal evaluation.

Streamlined request process—buyers can describe their automation needs online once and broadcast them anonymously to suppliers worldwide in under 15 minutes, free of charge. Thomas Anzur, chief sales officer for the U.S. office in Chicago, explains, “Traditional sourcing requires reaching out to individual suppliers—a slow, frustrating task.”

Suppliers that pay a $700 annual subscription can respond with detailed proposals and pricing. The marketplace also allows suppliers to create free company and product profiles and to offer quotes for aftermarket parts, components, and services for existing robots.

Within just two months of its U.S. launch, HowToRobot.com listed more than 100 projects worth over $50 million. The company claims coverage of over 16,000 robot and automation suppliers worldwide, making it the largest directory of its kind.
