AFE Announces Certified Plant Maintenance Manager Program – Online & In‑Person Courses

In 2009, the Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE) launched its Certified Plant Maintenance Manager (CPMM) course, offering both an interactive online format in February and a live classroom session in Indianapolis in March.

Applicants must be currently employed as maintenance professionals and possess at least two years of experience. The curriculum covers preventive and predictive maintenance, workflow planning and scheduling, computerized maintenance systems, investment returns, and Total Productive Management.

Successful candidates will complete a 200‑question exam and receive the prestigious CPMM credential, recognized worldwide by employers in hospitals, schools, utilities, and federal agencies.

The online sessions ran from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET on February 2, 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, and 26. The Indianapolis classroom sessions took place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 16–20. Professionals could also choose to study independently and schedule the exam at any time during the year.

Beyond CPMM, AFE offers Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) and Certified Plant Supervisor (CPS) programs. Thousands of certified professionals serve in a variety of settings, including hospitals, casinos, hotels, transit authorities, and the U.S. military.
