Pepsi-Cola Venezuela Boosts Machinery Reliability with Dyadem’s FTA‑Pro

On July 29, Dyadem announced that Pepsi‑Cola Venezuela C.A., the joint venture between Empresas Polar and PepsiCo Inc., has begun using its FTA‑Pro software to enhance the reliability of its beverage‑manufacturing equipment and to prevent system failures across its operations.

FTA‑Pro applies the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) methodology to evaluate the likelihood of equipment failure from the top down. By mapping every possible failure path, the tool predicts when and where breakdowns may occur, giving plant managers a clear early‑warning system.

For Pepsi‑Cola, this capability is critical: the country’s import channels can take up to a year to deliver replacement parts for the latest machinery. With FTA‑Pro, the company now identifies impending failures well in advance, enabling timely part procurement and minimizing costly downtime.

"Our machinery is the most advanced in the region, and a single failure can halt production for months,” said Daniel Boos, Quality Assurance Manager at Pepsi‑Cola. “FTA‑Pro lets us spot potential issues before they materialize, saving time and money while reinforcing our continuous‑improvement culture.”

Before FTA‑Pro, Pepsi‑Cola relied on manual, time‑consuming assessments that often missed critical risks. The new software not only detects hidden faults but also uncovers root causes, allowing the maintenance team to address underlying problems and prevent recurrence.

“Pepsi‑Cola Venezuela is a vital contributor to the Venezuelan economy, and adopting cutting‑edge risk‑management technology aligns with our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence,” added Kevin North, President and CEO of Dyadem. “Our solutions empower food‑and‑beverage companies to run their machinery with confidence, based on concrete reliability data.”
