Konecranes Launches Truconnect Remote Crane Services for 24/7 Reliability

Konecranes has unveiled its Truconnect platform, a suite of remote‑monitoring solutions designed to keep industrial cranes operating safely and efficiently around the clock. The first two offerings—Truview data‑reporting and the full‑service Trucare package—provide real‑time insight into crane performance and a comprehensive maintenance strategy.
Truview connects each crane to Konecranes’ global Remote Services Center via secure data links, automatically transmitting operational data for analysis. “All information is processed into detailed reports that are accessible online to both the customer and our maintenance teams,” explains Tuomo Härkönen, Head of Global Technical Services. The platform can be retrofitted to older models and even applied to competitor cranes if a maintenance contract exists.
The resulting reports highlight critical safety metrics—such as overload events and emergency stops—and recommend tailored maintenance actions based on actual usage. Product engineer Sampsa Mattheisen notes, “Because we base recommendations on real data, each crane receives maintenance that matches its unique operating profile.”
Beyond safety, Truview enables cost‑saving decisions by extending component life cycles. For instance, if data indicate that a crane has operated well below its expected mileage, unnecessary overhauls can be postponed, reducing downtime and spare‑part expenses.
Trucare is a five‑year, all‑inclusive service package offered with new CXT cranes still under warranty. It bundles Truview with scheduled maintenance and spare‑parts coverage for a fixed monthly fee, ensuring consistent performance throughout the warranty period.
With a network of more than 3,500 technicians across 46 countries, Konecranes guarantees that remote support and on‑site expertise are always within reach.
