Mastering Tire‑Soil Interaction Modeling in Abaqus: CEL Techniques for Industrial & Off‑Road Applications
Tire-soil interaction has a direct impact on tire performance. It is applicable in the modeling of heavy industrial equipment, farm machinery, and related off-road applications. The Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian (CEL) method is well suited for this application.
This eSeminar demonstrates the use of Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian functionality in Abaqus for modeling tire-soil interaction. It includes:
- A discussion as to why CEL is beneficial for such applications.
- Material modeling and calibration guidelines for soil, focusing primarily on the Modified Drucker-Prager/Cap plasticity model.
- A brief review of the modeling workflow in Abaqus for tires.
- The traditional and advanced CEL technique (Adaptive Mesh Refinement).
- An example of a tire-soil analysis setup.
Watch this eSeminar to discover best practices for tire-soil interaction modeling.
