Mobile Sanitary Bag Dump System with Tilt‑Down Flexible Screw Conveyor
Introducing a mobile, sanitary tilt‑down flexible screw conveyor featuring an integral bag‑dump station and compactor. It transfers material from handheld bags into elevated process equipment while disposing of empty bags dust‑free.
The unit sits on a mobile frame equipped with locking casters and a fold‑down step. The bag‑dump station is fastened to the floor hopper using quick‑release clamps, and a gasketted disposal chute runs through the hopper hood's side wall, letting operators feed empty bags straight into the compactor.
Dust produced during dumping and compaction is captured by two cartridge filters. An automated reverse‑pulse cleaning system blasts compressed air into the filters on a timed schedule, causing dust that has accumulated on the outer surfaces to fall back into the hopper—preserving product. Filters can be accessed by removing the interior baffle and swapped via quick‑disconnect fittings.
A pneumatic air cylinder compresses 50–80 empty bags into a removable bin lined with a plastic waste bag, enabling dust‑free tie‑off and disposal. Safety interlocks on the main door and a flapper door in the bag infeed chute ensure the compactor cannot operate unless both doors are closed.
Material from the hopper flows into an enclosed 4.6‑m flexible screw conveyor capable of handling diverse bulk solids—from large pellets to sub‑micron powders—regardless of whether they pack, cake, seize, smear, fluidise, or crumble. The flexible screw is the sole moving part that contacts the material, and it is driven by an electric motor located beyond the discharge point, eliminating seal contact with the material.
The bag‑dump station, support boom, and conveyor assembly can tilt down to navigate standard doorways, aisles, and corners, making it versatile for any plant location.
The unit can be rolled to a cleaning station. A lower clean‑out cap on the conveyor tube can be removed to flush the smooth interior with steam, water, or cleaning solutions, or the flexible screw can be fully removed for detailed cleaning and inspection.
The system is offered in carbon steel with durable industrial coating and stainless steel contact surfaces, or as an all‑stainless‑steel configuration finished to meet industrial, food, dairy, or pharmaceutical standards.
