NEXTY Electronics Joins Blaize as Distribution Partner for AI Edge Computing in Japan

NEXTY Electronics, a core member of the Toyota Tsusho Group, has become a distribution partner for Blaize’s AI edge computing platform in Japan, targeting automotive and industrial markets.

Blaize®, a pioneer in AI computing for automotive and edge applications, announced that NEXTY Electronics Corp. will now distribute its AI hardware and software solutions across Japan. The partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of edge AI in vehicles, manufacturing, and industrial equipment.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Blaize and bring state‑of‑the‑art AI edge solutions to our customers,” said Kiyotaka Nakao, Managing Director of NEXTY Electronics. “Edge AI is evolving rapidly, and this alliance will allow us to combine our deep expertise in semiconductor peripheral technology with Blaize’s low‑power, low‑latency accelerators, opening new business opportunities.”

Richard Terrill, VP of Strategic Business Development at Blaize, added, “Partnering with NEXTY gives us access to a market that values innovation and anticipates customer needs across multiple industries. Their focus on delivering end‑to‑end AI systems aligns perfectly with Blaize’s efficient, high‑performance inference accelerators.”

Blaize’s Pathfinder SOM and Xplorer AI accelerators, supported by the Blaize AI Studio and Picasso SDK, provide a turnkey solution that balances performance, power consumption, and cost. The industrial‑grade Pathfinder P1600 SOM is designed for development and field trials, with a robust roadmap of automotive products slated for 2023 and beyond. The tight integration of software and hardware ensures an efficient, usable AI edge workflow that fits real‑world budgets for power, cost, size, and complexity.

Through this partnership, NEXTY Electronics will help customers adopt AI to process growing volumes of edge data, gain deeper insights, and accelerate the creation and deployment of new AI models and edge systems.
