Siemens & Bentley Announce Joint Solution to Accelerate Power Plant Digitalization

Siemens and Bentley Systems have unveiled a collaborative technology and service offering designed to accelerate the digital transformation of power plants and deliver advanced analytics. By merging Bentley’s asset performance software with Siemens’ industry‑leading technology and support, the solution empowers plant operators to harness digital tools for enhanced maintenance planning and operation.
Siemens’ asset performance management (APM) platform covers the full spectrum of power plant equipment—from combustion and steam turbines to generators, pumps, motors, transformers, valves, switchgear and more.
The APM harnesses predictive analytics and sophisticated models to ingest data from multiple sources, apply domain expertise, and seamlessly integrate into customers’ existing CMMS or EAM systems.
Tailoring is built in: the service can be customized to each plant’s configuration, on‑site expertise, and maintenance strategy, ensuring that solutions fit the unique operational profile of every facility.
“We’re excited to be delivering, in this case for power plant owners, operational advantages made uniquely possible by our work with Siemens to leverage IoT and performance digital twins,” said Greg Bentley, Bentley CEO. “In effect, we are together advancing APM toward asset performance modeling—where our engineering technologies (ET) compound the value of IT and operations technologies (OT).”
