The Superyacht Origin
Saturnia emerged from Lazzarini’s relentless pursuit of design excellence. After years of iterative development, the studio announced the concept as one of the lightest yachts ever produced.

Innovative Design
Carbon fiber, a composite known for its extraordinary strength-to-weight ratio, is the core material. By combining millions of finely oriented fibers with epoxy resin, the material achieves superior stiffness while remaining exceptionally lightweight. This construction reduces the vessel’s mass by about 50% compared to traditional steel or aluminum builds of similar size.
The design includes a dedicated on‑board dockyard that accommodates tenders up to 1.5 m in length, several alfresco dining areas, a glass‑bottom lounge, and an eVTOL launchpad.
Its Capability
Propulsion will be a hybrid system featuring twin diesel engines and a central electric water‑jet, cutting emissions while enabling a top speed of 30 knots. The interior boasts high ceilings, oversized sliding glass windows, and a rooftop antenna bay, comfortably housing up to 20 guests and 20 crew.
Customization options are available to meet the owner’s preferences. Estimated development cost stands at roughly $350 million, with a projected build time of 2½ years, aiming for completion in 2024.
The dual‑entrance dockyard remains the most striking feature, exemplifying both function and aesthetic.
