EN 10277‑3 Grade 46SPb20 Rolled & Turned Steel (+SH) – High Strength, Low Ductility
The free cutting case hardening steel 46SPb20 is used for bulk parts of higher strength, especially for lower ductility demands in transversal direction compared to other C-steels (e.g. C45). Machinability enhancement is achieved by Pb-content. Application in car industry, apparatus, equipment and machine engineering (e.g. screws, nuts, small-size parts). As a bright steel product it is used in the form of bars, bright, straight, in various conditions (see DIN EN 10277 : 1999-10).
