EN 10277‑3 Grade 35SPb20 – Cold‑Drawn, Quenched & Tempered Steel for High‑Strength Applications
The free cutting case hardening steel 35SPb20 is used for bulk parts of mean strength, especially lower ductility demands in transversal direction compared to other C-steels (e.g. C35). Machinability enhancement is achieved by Pb-content. Application in car industry, apparatus, equipment and machine engineering (e.g. screws, nuts, small-size parts). As a bright steel product it is used in the form of bars, bright, straight, in various conditions (see DIN EN 10277 : 1999-10).
