DIN 17182 G17Mn5 – Normalized/Normalized Formed Steel (+N) with Superior Impact & Weldability
In comparison to the unalloyed cast steel grades according to DIN 1681, the materials of this group show distinctly higher values of the notch impact energy. As a result of their low carbon content (0.23 per cent maximum), they are well suitable for welding.
