PolySource’s New Leadership: President Grant John & VP Damien Couch Drive Future Growth
Resin distributor PolySource, headquartered in Independence, Missouri, has transitioned to new ownership under President Grant John and co‑owner/VP Damien Couch.
Founder Greg Jacobson, now retired, instilled a culture of flawless customer service that has guided PolySource since its founding in 2000. The new leadership team pledges to honor that legacy while accelerating growth and deepening technical expertise.
John and Couch were groomed for leadership early in their careers at PolySource. Together they bring 32 years of experience that helped the company expand across multiple market segments and deliver innovative resin solutions.
In recent coverage by Plastics Technology, PolySource highlighted the addition of Polyplastics USA’s Topas cyclic olefin copolymer (COC) – a glass‑clear, ultra‑pure plastic ideal for healthcare, packaging, and electronics. The firm’s consultants also played a key role in helping processors navigate material challenges, including shortages of nylon 66 intermediates. PolySource has been recognized twice by Plastics News as a Best Place to Work (2017, 2019) and has earned five spots on the INC 5000 fastest‑growing companies list.
"I appreciate the leadership and vision of Greg Jacobson, his commitment to company culture, and his pioneering spirit," says John. "Together with Damien, we will focus on delivering value to customers through a technically capable sales team that solves complex material challenges."
