1) Verify Material and Chemical Specifications

Before you begin, review the specification sheets that accompany your 3D‑printing filaments and post‑processing chemicals. These documents outline any safety hazards and recommended handling procedures. If anything is unclear, contact your supplier or a material safety data sheet (MSDS) specialist to conduct a risk assessment early in the project.

2) Wait for the Build Plate to Cool

High‑temperature build plates can reach lethal heat. Always allow the plate to cool to a safe temperature before removing the part. When in doubt, consult the printer manufacturer’s guidelines for safe cooldown times.

3) Equip Yourself with Proper PPE
