Data analytics has been improving our Bosch plants for years. A new project begins with a kickoff workshop at the customer’s production facility. During this session we meet the team, map the production flow, and clarify objectives and underlying challenges.

Data understanding comes next

Next we examine data sources: Is integration required, or must new data be generated? Which external processes matter? What time frames are relevant? We also verify traceability, ensuring each data point can be linked back to its origin via unique identifiers.

Iterative analysis instead of a massive project

The first analytics phase typically lasts a week, depending on data preparation. At its conclusion, our experts present initial findings that demonstrate feasibility and often yield actionable ideas—such as reducing scrap in a specific value stream.

Customer feedback allows us to refine the analysis strategy. This iterative approach eliminates incorrect conclusions, shows immediate value, and defines the next steps, including additional data requirements and automation plans.
