Mastering Sinumerik CYCLE88 Bore 4: Dwell Time & Spindle Stop Operations
Sinumerik CYCLE88 Bore 4
In Sinumerik CYCLE88 “Bore 4” cycle, a dwell time is effected on reaching the final drilling depth together with a spindle stop without orientation and a programmed stop. By pressing the NC Start key, the upwards movement is performed at rapid traverse until the retraction plane is reached.
Programming
CYCLE88 (RTP, RFP, SDIS, DP, DPR, DTB, SDIR)

Parameters
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| RTP | Return plane (absolute) |
| RFP | Reference plane (absolute) |
| SDIS | Safety distance (enter without sign) |
| DP | Final drilling depth/elongated hole depth/slot depth/pocket depth (absolute) |
| DPR | Final drilling depth/elongated hole depth/slot depth/pocket depth relative to reference plane (enter without sign) |
| DTB | Dwell time at final drilling depth (chip breaking) |
| SDIR | Direction of rotation Values: 3 (for M3) 4 (for M4) |
