Monroe Engineering Enhances Wire Termination and Harness Services with Dicon Connections Acquisition

Monroe buys assets of Dicon Connections, Inc.

Rochester Hills, MI— June 1, 2020— At an internal event, Monroe confirmed its acquisition of Dicon Connections’ assets, expanding its cable harness portfolio and strengthening its presence in defense, aerospace, rail, heavy truck, and medical equipment markets.

Positive Customer and Supply Chain Impact:

By integrating Dicon’s operations, Monroe Cable will streamline quoting, sales, and purchasing, enhancing customer service and competitiveness in this growing segment. Monroe’s robust financial resources enable it to manage complex supply chains, secure long‑lead components, and invest in capital that guarantees world‑class manufacturing both today and tomorrow.

Industry veteran Rich Samuels will oversee daily operations of Monroe Cable alongside Jeff and Tim Williams (Sellers). Monroe plans to expand capacity and manufacturing capabilities at the North Branford facility, positioning it as a future‑proof production hub.

Kyle Gill will spearhead new business development. “I am excited to partner with the Dicon team to build a quality‑first, process‑oriented Product Center of Excellence in North Branford. We have the capacity and the resources to invest in systems, personnel, and equipment to take on additional domestic wire harness and cable projects. Importantly, our financial strength will strengthen supply‑chain relationships, leading to faster, more efficient product realization for our customers,” said Rich Samuels, General Manager, Monroe Cable.

Jeff Williams added, “Monroe serves customers across so many vertical markets—Defense, Aerospace, Rail, Heavy Truck, Medical Equipment, and more. We are thrilled to partner with the Monroe team. Like Dicon, they emphasize employee wellbeing and outstanding customer service. We look forward to working as one team, delivering benefits for employees, customers, and suppliers alike.”
