Mouser Now Stocks Texas Instruments TPSM846C24: 35 A Fixed‑Frequency Step‑Down Power Module with Overcurrent Protection

Mouser Electronics has added Texas Instruments’ TPSM846C24 to its inventory. This 35 A step‑down power module offers built‑in overcurrent protection and is tailored for compact PCI/PCIe, broadband, point‑of‑load, and medical device applications.

The TPSM846C24 is a fixed‑frequency, 35 A buck module that integrates a controller, MOSFETs, inductor, and ancillary components into a thermally‑enhanced, surface‑mount package. Adjusting its operating parameters requires only input and output capacitors plus a few passive parts.

Engineers can scale current by pairing two modules for a dual‑phase solution, achieving up to 70 A with current sharing. Operating across –40 °C to 125 °C, the module comes in a 15 × 16 mm footprint, enabling streamlined, point‑of‑load PCB designs.

TI’s evaluation kits – TPSM846C24EVM‑006 and TPSM846C24EVM‑007 – support quick validation. The EVM‑006 hosts a single module; the EVM‑007 features two modules in parallel, allowing up to 70 A output current and providing test points and jumpers for easy prototyping.
