emtrion Launches emSTAMP‑Argon: Dual‑Core STM32MP1 Module for High‑Performance Industrial Applications

The newly unveiled emSTAMP‑Argon module marries the power of STMicroelectronics’ STM32MP1 with emtrion’s proven industrial expertise. Built on a heterogeneous dual‑core architecture – ARM Cortex‑A7 for compute‑intensive workloads and Cortex‑M4 for real‑time control – the module delivers robust performance while maintaining low power consumption.

Real‑Time, Power‑Efficient Performance

With its dual Cortex‑A7 cores, emSTAMP‑Argon handles demanding tasks such as industrial IoT, advanced motor control, and complex data processing. The integrated Cortex‑M4 core guarantees deterministic response times, making it an ideal platform for industrial communication protocols.

Seamless Industrial Connectivity

The module supports PROFINET, EtherCAT, and EtherNet/IP out of the box, and its Cortex‑M4 core leverages the extensive STM32 MCU ecosystem. This compatibility allows developers to reuse existing STM32‑based firmware, accelerating time‑to‑market.

Flexible Software Stack

emSTAMP‑Argon ships with optional Android or Linux operating systems, and emtrion supplies comprehensive Board Support Packages (BSPs). Additional services such as Jailhouse virtualization and tailored security solutions are available to meet mission‑critical requirements.

Long‑Term Reliability

emtrion commits to a 15‑year availability window for the emSTAMP‑Argon core module, ensuring sustained support for long‑lived industrial deployments. For turnkey solutions, the same hardware is also offered as a single‑board computer – the emSBC‑Argon.
