Swissbit Launches Industrial‑Grade 3D‑NAND SSDs for Demanding Applications

3D‑NAND SSDs dominate consumer markets, but Swissbit has engineered the X‑75 family to meet the rigorous demands of industrial and NetCom environments. Available in 2.5‑inch, m.2, SlimSATA, and mSATA form factors, the X‑75 delivers performance, reliability, and long‑term availability that professionals can trust.

Swissbit’s firmware has been fine‑tuned for continuous operation in harsh settings. Extensive qualification and 100 % final testing ensure that each drive meets the strict endurance and reliability standards required for automation, medical technology, industrial PCs, data‑logging, and NetCom boot media.

Key to the X‑75’s resilience is Toshiba BiCS3 NAND, pre‑tested for stable performance between –40 °C and 85 °C, paired with flash controllers that support a 165‑bit LDPC error‑correction algorithm. The 2.5‑inch variants feature a die‑cast metal housing that enhances thermal management and maintains consistent performance across the full industrial temperature range.

Capacities span from 60 GB to 2 TB for the 2.5‑inch models, while the modular variants offer 240 GB to 2 TB. All drives use direct TLC write mode without an SLC cache, reducing write amplification and preserving a high sustained write rate. Drives at the 60 GB and 120 GB mark incorporate an SLC cache to boost peak performance.

With a specified endurance of 3,000 P/E cycles, the firmware maximizes the lifespan of the 3D‑NAND components. Swissbit’s Data Care Management adds layers of protection: background scan, Near‑Miss ECC, End‑to‑End Data Path Protection, and an efficient block RAID that recovers full‑page failures.

Optional AES‑256 encryption and TCG‑OPAL 2.0 access control provide data‑at‑rest security, while the Lifetime Monitor delivers granular insights into the drive’s health status. Together, these features make the X‑75 the ideal choice for mission‑critical industrial and NetCom applications.
