DATA MODUL expands its Panel PC portfolio with a new ultra‑flat 10.1‑inch PCAP touch panel that measures only 31.7 mm deep. The design’s extreme thinness makes it ideal for vibration‑ and shock‑resistant applications in sectors such as fitness, maritime, and offshore, where integrated, all‑in‑one solutions are essential.

The slim panel is offered as a turnkey solution—including software—in three service grades. Its footprint of 185 × 267 mm delivers the optimal size for common industrial uses while the single‑board computer (SBC) gives it greater interface flexibility than a Pico‑ITX. To maximize the 10.1‑inch LCD’s rear space, the unit’s height was increased from 72 mm to 80 mm.

Achieving a maximum depth of 13 mm, the SBC relies on strategic design choices such as side‑mounted flat plugs, which avoid unnecessary height, and an elevated RJ45 network connector. The integrated PCB stack results in a top surface that sits just 8.2 mm above the upper edge of the circuit boards.

The bundled Board Support Package includes Barebox bootloader (2017.04), Linux kernel 4.9, Yocto 2.4 Rocko, Qt 5.9, GStreamer 1.8.3, and the QupZilla web browser.

Its integrated touch unit—equipped with an SITO sensor and USB controller—supports multi‑finger input (up to ten fingers), operation with gloves, and wet‑condition use, enhancing usability in harsh environments.

An accessible bus interface, including CAN‑bus support, allows seamless integration of industry‑standard systems without additional hardware.
