ADLINK Unveils HPERC-KBL: VITA 75 Rugged Computing Platform for Military & Aerospace Edge Applications
ADLINK Technology has launched the HPERC‑KBL, a new VITA 75 compliant COTS platform engineered for the most demanding military and aerospace missions. The system is designed to deliver high‑performance computing in extreme environments while meeting strict SWaP constraints, and will be showcased at the upcoming DSEI 2019 alongside channel partners Steatite and Acal.
Recognizing the growing need for compact, resilient edge systems, ADLINK established its Small Form Factor Tactical Edge Server (SFF‑TES) solution group. The HPERC‑KBL exemplifies the group’s strategy, combining integrated research, design, and manufacturing to create a versatile platform that meets stringent mission‑critical requirements.
Key features of the HPERC‑KBL include:
- VITA 75 standard mounting and silent passive cooling
- IP67‑rated sealed enclosure that can fit under a vehicle seat or in a backpack
- Quad‑core Intel® Xeon® processor with 16 GB ECC DDR4 memory for robust processing power
- Optional NVIDIA® Quadro® MXM module for GPGPU‑accelerated workloads
- Removable SATA and SD storage for flexible data collection
- Four Gigabit Ethernet and six USB ports via MIL‑DTL‑38999 connectors for comprehensive connectivity
- Certified MIL‑STD‑461F/810G/704F/1275E compliance to withstand harsh conditions
With dimensions of 223.7 × 177.8 × 98.7 mm for the conductive cold‑plate variant and 304.8 × 150.0 × 130.0 mm for the finned passive‑convection variant, the HPERC‑KBL delivers exceptional performance in a compact footprint. Its combination of reliability, scalability, and accelerated computing makes it the ideal solution for C4ISR and other high‑stakes edge deployments.
