Inside the IoT World Conference: RTI’s Live Product Demos in San Francisco
Today marks the opening day of the Internet of Things World Conference in San Francisco. RTI is thrilled to present two live product demonstrations at Booth 215, led by product manager Burcu Alaybeyi.
Below is a preview of what attendees can expect.
Demo 1: Open Integrated Clinical Environment (Open ICE)
Open ICE showcases how medical devices—pulse oximeters, ECGs, infusion pumps, and more—from multiple vendors can publish data to a logical data bus (RTI Connext DDS) by adhering to a unified data model. A supervisory application, built on the same model, subscribes to these device topics, enabling seamless integration.
DDS simplifies the creation of medical device interfaces and supervisory systems. Open ICE exemplifies medical device interoperability powered by RTI Connext DDS. Watch the full PCA Safety use‑case demonstration on Vimeo. For deeper insight, visit mdpnp.org and openice.info.

Demo 2: Robot‑Arm Control via DDS
In this demo, we illustrate how diverse SDKs, APIs, and interfaces can be combined to develop RTI Connext DDS applications. An RTI DDS LabVIEW VI publishes user commands for a robot arm; a Python DDS application subscribes to that data and drives the robot over USB.

We invite you to experience these cutting‑edge demonstrations during the conference. Find us at Booth 215. See you there!
