True Temper Sports (Memphis, Tenn., U.S.), a designer and manufacturer of golf club shafts, reports that it is partnering with advanced composites company Hexcel (Stamford, Conn., U.S.) to create the HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX golf club shaft. This new model is said to be the first golf club shaft to be fabricated from Hexcel’s recreation-specialized HexTow HM54 carbon fiber.
According to True Temper Sports, the RDX is the next evolution in the HZRDUS line. It combines HexTow HM54 high-modulus carbon fiber with high-tensile-strength HexTow IM2C carbon fiber to provide what the companies say is the ideal blend of stiffness and stability for HZRDUS shafts.
