EN 12167 Grade CuZn40Mn2Fe1 H125 – Premium Manganese‑Copper Alloy
CuZn40Mn2Fe1(former identification: CuZn40Mn2) is an unhardenable copper alloy. High hardness and strength parameter are achievable by cold forming only. Tensile strength and Brinell hardness are higher than at CuZn31Si1 (CW708R). Manganese increases corrosion resistance and sliding qualities. CuZn40Mn2Fe1is weathering and seawater resistant. Processing properties: warm forming: good cold forming: moderately machinability: moderately hard soldering: good soft soldering: very good TIG-welding: moderately burnishing: very good Application in apparatus and general machine engineering, for fittings and refrigerators and for shock-absorber rods. In construction trade for weathering facades, for ornamental iron parts such as iron bars, gates or crosses.
