X6CrNb17 Soft Annealed Ferritic Steel – Enhanced Corrosion Resistance for Industrial Applications

Properties: - ferritic steel with comparable corrosion properties like 1.4510 - resistant to water, steam, weak acids and brines and oxidising acids - elevated resistance to crack corrosion in hot brines and water with chloride - Ti-additives let decrease the danger of intergranular corrosion after welding - a metallically clean surface is basic condition for a good corrosion resistance - not high polishable Application: - for welded components in washing machines (base tanks) - partly in chemical constructions (weak acids), food industry, breweries, dyeing and soap industry - in arcitecture used for decorative construction units, where must be welded, e.g. for shelves, racks, interior arrangement elements
