EN 12168 Grade CuZn37Mn3Al2PbSi – H150 Unhardenable Copper Alloy with Superior Strength and Corrosion Resistance
CuZn37Mn3Al2PbSi (CW713R former CuZn40Al2) is an unhardenable copper alloy. High hardness and strength parameter are achievable by cold forming only. Strength properties, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance are increasable by Al-addition. CuZn37Mn3Al2PbSi shows a high wear resistance and is favorable resistant to atmospheric corrosion, to low aggressive water and gas, insensitive to oil corrosion. Processing properties: warm forming: very good cold forming: unfavorable machinability: moderately hard soldering: moderately soft soldering: unfavorable TIG-welding: moderately burnishing: very good Application for construction parts in machine engineering, for friction bearings, valve guides, transmission parts and piston rings.
