EN 10277‑5 Grade 51CrV4 Cold‑Drawn, Quenched & Tempered Steel (+C+QT) – High‑Performance Alloy for Aerospace & Heavy Machinery
Steel 51CrV4 is suitable for high loaded parts in aircraft, vehicle, engine and machine engineering that require increased tempering resistance at best core qualities and high wear resistance (e.g.transmission and joint parts, axles). Furthermore application as spring and tool steel. Lowest application temperature -25°C. As a bright steel product it is used in the form of bars, bright, straight, in various conditions (see DIN EN 10277 : 1999-10).
