SILVERSPEED-XL: Premium Nickel Silver Alloy for Superior Machining
SILVERSPEED-XL is a copper alloy with additions of zinc and nickel to give an attractive soft silvery colour not as brash as stainless steel. It is a truly superlative free-machining alloy with a machinability rating almost the same as free cutting brass. It is highly recommended for the production of intricate components by complex machining operations. This grade is stocked exclusively by Columbia Metals and has the same application and performance characteristics as NS101. However, the invaluable increase of around 20% in machinability over NS101 can provide clean, burr free, close tolerance, high surface quality components at maximum production speeds and prolonged tool life.
