DIN 1725-1 Grade 3.1305 T42 Aluminium Alloy – High Strength & Durability

The alloy AlCu2,5Mg0,5 (see also AlCu2,5Mg0,5, mat. No 3.1305,DIN 1725, part 1, 02.83) pertains to alloy-type (AlCuMg-type) which was used as the first of aluminium wrought materials in technics. The alloy is natural and artificial agable and achieves high mechanical strength. In soft condition the material is relatively heat-resistant. AlCu2,5Mg0,5 has a low corrosion resistance, is well anodizable and chromatable. Heat-treatment has to be carried out acc. to DIN 29850. The material is not weldable. 3.1124 is used for riveting wire and rivets.
